英語アナウンス電車版に引き続き、飛行機の機内で耳にする英語アナウンス〈セーフティアナウンス〉を解説してみます。
多くの航空会社があるので、ほんの一例になります。よければご参考下さい。
非常ライト/Emergency light
In the case of evacuation, the emergency lights will be illuminated to guide you to the emergency exits.
(避難時は、非常口へ案内する非常灯が点灯します。)
・In the case of 〜, : 〜の場合に
・be illuminated：”点灯する”の受け身
・guide 人 to〜：〜へ人を案内する
シートベルト/Seatbelts
Whenever the seatbelt signs are turned on, please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated at all times.
(シートベルト着用サインが点灯している時は、常時シートベルトを締めて、着席していて下さい。)
・whenever SV,：SがVする時はいつでも、[副詞節]
・be turned on：”(電気など)を付ける”の受け身
・fasten：〜を締める(fastenの目的語はだいたいseatbelt)
・remain C：Cの状態でいる(い続ける)
Your safety belt is fastened like this; insert the belt into the buckle, tighten like pulling the strap and unfasten by lifting the buckle.
(安全ベルトはこのように締められ、ベルトをバックルに挿入し、ストラップを引っ張るように締め、バックルを持ち上げて緩めます。)
・be fastened：”締める”の受け身
・like this：このように※このlikeは前置詞
・insert A into B：AをBに差し込む
・buckle：バックル (発音:バッコォ)
・tighten〜：〜をきつく締める
Distribution of infant seat belts or extension belts will be provided by the cabin crew.
(幼児用シートベルト、または延長ベルトの配布は、客室乗務員が行います。)
・distribution：配布
・be provided：”提供する”の受け身
・crew：全乗組員※集合体で考えるなら単数扱い
Please make sure your seatbelt is fastened and visible to the crew.
(シートベルトが締められ、乗組員に見えることを確認して下さい。)
・make sure SV：SがVするということを確認する
・andはfastenedとvisibleを繋いでいる
・visible：目に見える[形容詞] ↔︎ invisible
酸素マスク/Oxygen masks
In case of decompression, oxygen masks will be released from the cabin ceiling and the lavatories. Pull the nearest mask firmly downwards.
(減圧の場合、酸素マスクがキャビンの天井と洗面所から出てきます。最も近いマスクをしっかりと下に引いてください。)
・decompression：減圧
・lavatories：トイレ [lavatoryの複数形]
・downwards：下方に[副詞]
Place it over your nose and mouth.
(鼻と口を覆います。)
・place A over B：AをBの上に置く/覆う
If you’re traveling with children, please put your own mask first before assisting your child.
(お子様をお連れの場合は、お子様の手助けを行う前に、まずご自身のマスクを着用してください。)
・before 〜ing：〜する前に
救命胴衣/Life vests
Life vests are located under your seat or between your seats or below the armrest.
(救命胴衣は、座席の下、座席の間、または肘掛けの下にあります。)
・be located：”位置する”の受け身
Put on the life vest securing it carefully.
(救命胴衣を慎重に固定します。)
・put on 〜：〜を身につける/〜を着る
・securing〜：固定しながら(分詞構文)
Do not inflate the life vest in the cabin.
(キャビン内の救命胴衣を膨らませないでください。)
・inflate〜：〜を膨らませる
At the exit, pull the toggle firmly downwards or blow into the mouthpiece to inflate.
(出口で、トグルをしっかりと下に引くか、マウスピースに空気を吹き込んで膨らませます。)
・pull O downwards：下の方にOを引く
・toggle：トグル(レバーのようなもの)
・blow into O：Oに空気を入れる
・inflate：膨らませる
There is a whistle and a light on your vest for attracting attention.
(注意をひくために、ベストに笛とライトがあります。)
・attract attention：注目を集める
Life vests are used in case of emergencies or when instructed by the cabin crew.
(救命胴衣は、緊急時、または乗務員の指示により使用されます。)
・when instructed：when it is instructedのit is省略
